Q. How do I apply for a job with Salt River Schools?
A. You can apply for a posted position online here
 
Q. How will I know when a position is scheduled to close
?
A. Unless otherwise posted, positions are generally open until filled. This means the position may close at any time. You are encouraged to submit your application as soon as possible. If a position is listed on our website, this means the position is still open. Once a position no longer appears on our website it is closed.

Q. Can I speak with someone personally if I come to your office?
A. We regret that we may not be available to personally meet with each visitor. If we are not available to speak with you in person and you have a question that is not answered on this FAQ sheet, please ask the Receptionist for an applicant request card and write your question on this card. Be sure to list your phone number and e-mail address so that we can contact you with a response. We will make every effort to respond to your question by the following business day. You may also e-mail your question(s) to careers@srpmic-ed.org.

Q. Do I need to submit a separate online application if I am applying for more than one position?
A. No. You may apply for up to three positions at a time.

Q. Do you have a scheduled interview date set for open positions.
A. Not at the time the position is posted. When a candidate is contacted for an interview, the interview is generally scheduled within a week.

Q. Do you conduct telephone interviews for out of state applicants?
A. No.

Q. What information must I include with my application?
A. At the time of application you are not required to submit anything else. If you prefer, you may upload a copy of your resume into our applicant tracking system when you complete your on-line employment application; however, this is not required.

Q. How can I obtain more information about the DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card?
A. Please visit the DPS website or call (602) 223-2279.

Q. Since I do not have a current AZ teaching certification, can I still apply with the understanding that I can obtain an Emergency Certification if I'm hired?
A. We only consider applicants who currently meet the minimum qualifications for the position. This includes having the appropriate Arizona certification. In most instances, we will make an exception only if the applicant is currently certified in another state and is simply waiting for their Arizona certification paperwork to be finalized by the Arizona Department of Education. If you are an out of state applicant please contact the Arizona Department of Education at www.ade.state.az.us/

Q. How soon after submitting my application will I hear from you?
A. When you submit an on-line application, you will receive an automated response letting you know that your application has been successfully submitted. Our goal is to fill all positions as quickly as possible. Due to many factors we cannot give specific time frames for when applicants may be contacted. We do not tell applicants if they will be contacted or not. If you want to know if your application has been received, please e-mail our office at careers@srpmic-ed.org. Once a review of applications has been completed, those applicants with whom an interview is desired will be contacted immediately. If you are not selected for an interview you will not be contacted.

Q. Does your School System participate in the Arizona State Retirement System?
A. Employees of Salt River High School (temporary and non-temporary) are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System in accordance with the eligibility rules. All others do not. Full-time (non-temporary) employees who are not employed at Salt River High School may participate in the Tribe’s 401k Retirement Plan.
